<p>We just released&nbsp;<a title="Plural at MyFonts" href="http://www.myfonts.com/fonts/wordshape/plural/" target="_blank">Plural</a>, a new family of 20 typefaces.</p>
<p>Plural is a contemporary, futuristic sans serif that is eminently readable on-screen and in print. It appears to be monolinear due to its hybrid geometric and humanist construction, but actually swells slightly at the curves and tapers slightly at the terminals for pronounced readability.</p>
<p><span class="full-image-block ssNonEditable"><span><img src="http://viewerslikeu.squarespace.com/storage/103880.jpg?__SQUARESPACE_CACHEVERSION=1361774840585" alt="" /></span></span></p>
<p>It features a full Central and Eastern European character set and is offered in five weights: light, regular, medium, semibold and bold. These are offset by matching italic cuts of each weight to give designers more variation.</p>
<p><span class="full-image-block ssNonEditable"><span><img src="http://viewerslikeu.squarespace.com/storage/103881.jpg?__SQUARESPACE_CACHEVERSION=1361774870538" alt="" /></span></span></p>
<p>The typeface also includes five weights of a retro-futuristic display face called Plural Display that bring in more idiosyncratic characters for display setting- a NASA-inspired space age &ldquo;A&rdquo;, a decorative &ldquo;double-V&rdquo; treatment for the &ldquo;W&rdquo;, a flared &ldquo;M&rdquo; and a whole lot more. Italic versions of Plural Display are also featured.</p>
<p>Plural is available from&nbsp;<a title="Plural @ MyFonts" href="http://www.myfonts.com/fonts/wordshape/plural/" target="_blank">MyFonts</a>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<a title="Plural @ YWFT" href="http://www.youworkforthem.com/font/T4239/plural" target="_blank">YouWorkForThem</a>.</p>

<p>We have a new type release: The <a href="http://www.youworkforthem.com/font/T3673/stebl-grotesk-stebl-slab" title="Stebl YWFT" target="_blank">Stebl</a> series of types is a handy micro-family for use for typesetting, display work, branding and packaging work. Stebl Grotesk is a grotesk typeface and matching italic inspired by the classic grotesk designs of the Stephenson Blake Type foundry. Stebl Slab is a complementary slab serif based on the idea that traditional slab serif types are based on a grotesk skeleton more than a traditional serifed framework.</p>

<p><a href="http://www.ianlynam.com/news-press/09-12-2012/attachment/t0195_00-4/" rel="attachment wp-att-9330"><img src="http://www.ianlynam.com/cms/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/T3673_01.jpg" alt="" title="T0195_00" width="600" height="401" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-9330" /></a></p>

<p>The entire family includes character support for Western, Central and Eastern European languages. Stebl Grotesk and Stebl Grotesk Italic include a range of handy, idiosyncratic semi-swash caps that will lend your design work a distinctive flair.</p>

<p><a href="http://www.ianlynam.com/news-press/09-12-2012/attachment/t0195_00-5/" rel="attachment wp-att-9331"><img src="http://www.ianlynam.com/cms/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/T3673_02.jpg" alt="" title="T0195_00" width="600" height="401" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-9331" /></a></p>

<p>The Stebl micro-family is <a href="http://www.youworkforthem.com/font/T3673/stebl-grotesk-stebl-slab" title="YWFT Stebl fonts" target="_blank">available now</a> from YouWorkForThem.</p>

<p>Wordshape has two new font families out now: <a href="http://www.youworkforthem.com/font/T3648/okojo-display" title="Okojo Display" target="_blank">Okojo Display</a> and <a href="http://www.youworkforthem.com/font/T3647/entity" title="Entity" target="_blank">Entity</a>. </p>

<p><a href="http://www.ianlynam.com/news-press/08-28-2012/attachment/t3648_06/" rel="attachment wp-att-9289"><img src="http://www.ianlynam.com/cms/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/T3648_06.jpg" alt="" title="T3648_06" width="600" height="401" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-9289" /></a></p>

<p>Okojo Display is the display version of our popular Wordshape font Okojo, featuring an enlarged x-height and rounded corners for smooth reading on tablets and as webfonts.</p>

<p><a href="http://www.ianlynam.com/news-press/08-28-2012/attachment/t3648_01/" rel="attachment wp-att-9290"><img src="http://www.ianlynam.com/cms/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/T3648_01.jpg" alt="" title="T3648_01" width="600" height="401" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-9290" /></a></p>

<p>Okojo Display is comprised of light, light italic, regular, italic, bold and bold italic versions of both a sans serif and slab serif design.</p>

<p><a href="http://www.ianlynam.com/news-press/08-28-2012/attachment/t0195_00-2/" rel="attachment wp-att-9291"><img src="http://www.ianlynam.com/cms/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/T3647_01.jpg" alt="" title="T0195_00" width="600" height="401" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-9291" /></a></p>

<p><a href="http://www.youworkforthem.com/font/T3647/entity" title="Entity font" target="_blank">Entity</a> is a typeface designed for tablet and webfont use, as well - a technical appearance similar to Allumi, Klavika, Sancoale and the whole current crop of techy fonts, though with enough of its own personality, as well. </p>

<p><a href="http://www.ianlynam.com/news-press/08-28-2012/attachment/t3647_05/" rel="attachment wp-att-9292"><img src="http://www.ianlynam.com/cms/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/T3647_05.jpg" alt="" title="T3647_05" width="600" height="401" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-9292" /></a></p>

<div></div>
<div>Please&nbsp;join us on Thursday August 16th at 8pm for&nbsp;<strong>B!RDBRA!N (Epilogue).</strong>&nbsp;Following the Black Box and&nbsp;REDCAT&nbsp;shows, on this evening we&nbsp;propose&nbsp;a showdown&#8230; The deconstruction and the unravelling of a performance&nbsp;<strong>by Emily Mast</strong>&nbsp;in the form of a game that will involve cards, color, feathers, and&nbsp;a live auction. A new series of works on paper will also be on view.</div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div><em>B!RDBRA!N is a series of vignettes that form a &ldquo;live collage&rdquo;. In it, seven performers ranging in age from 6 to 60, explore language as a prop onto which we project meaning.&nbsp;</em>Informed by the work of Guy De Cointet and very loosely based on the true story of Alex the parrot, each&nbsp;actor&nbsp;was carefully chosen for his real and performed relationship to language.&nbsp;</div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div>The B!RDBRA!N set and rehearsals have been on view through our windows and closed doors from July 25th until now.&nbsp; On August 16th we invite you to come inside and join.&nbsp;<strong>In this epilogue, the viewer will transition from being an outsider to being a participant in&nbsp;an&nbsp;effort to clear up and perhaps create, miscommunications.</strong></div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div>B!RDBRA!N (Epilogue) is performed by&nbsp;Aramazd Stepanian, Beau Ray, Beck Bat, Davie-Blue, Lisa Reynolds, Robert Ingraham and Talyan Wright. The sound is engineered by Jake Viator.</div>
