Chris Betting aka The Moutnain Label has a solo show tonight (thurs) at The Candy Store which opens in a few hours, so hurry up and cancel your plans and head over there. The opening runs from 6:30-8:30 (3153 16th street between gestalt and that giant bagel sandwich...)

Saturday in San Francisco there is some kind of book arts fair at fort mason. Could be ok, could be a crafty snore fest... 9am-4pm. Anyone know of anything else going on this saturday?

I remember stumbling upon photographer & video artist William Lamson's ultra inspiring work on vvork a year or two ago. Today I was feeling a little lethargic and decided to hunt him down again. Great great stuff!

Josh Petherick is an artist based in Melbourne, Australia working across graphic design, illustration, exhibition, film and musical disciplines. Spend some time on his site, some really interesting and weird works.

 

Fellow VLU contributor Gavin Potenza (Portland) puts a new version of his site online; Exploratory Design. Always some awesome work from him and his collaborators. Be sure to also check out The Graphic Graphic for more visual pleasure.

Met Scott Barry aka SacredMTN aka Birdstand today at the SF Zine Fest, and couldnt figure out why his work looked so familiar, besides surfing portfolio links on the net. Turns out he was creative director with Ordinary Kids for the past 3 years, and is now doing work with Mekanism. Really great stuff. Wish I wasn't so empty pocketed, would have picked up his zine&posters&cd&sunglasses set, but thanks for the free buttons.
