The book is primarily wordless (katakana onomatopoeia sound effects included, however) and an excellent introduction to the work of Japan's leading contemporary avant garde manga artist. Yokoyama's work has been translated into English and published by PictureBox in the U.S. to great acclaim.

Al is one of the most talented writers of my generation. If I didn't mean that, then I wouldn't have busted my ass publishing some of his work myself years ago and illicitly carted thousands of the damn things out the back door of Kinko's.
